Shosuke Suzuki

BIOGRAPHY

  • Shosuke Suzuki, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral fellow and a behavioral therapist at the OCD Institute of Texas. He specializes in the treatment of adult individuals with obsessive-compulsive and anxiety disorders, and also has experience supporting individuals and their loved ones as they navigate the psychological impacts of cancer. His clinical and research interests center on understanding the mechanisms that drive motivated behavior across diagnoses.

For example, what leads individuals to approach versus avoid, and how these processes can be effectively targeted in treatment. He integrates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), to help clients build flexibility, resilience, and meaningful engagement with their lives.
