BIOGRAPHY

Emily Weems, LCSW-S, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at  OCD Institute | Texas and Adjunct Instructor at Baylor College of Medicine. She treats adolescents and adults diagnosed with anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, BDD, and OC-related disorders.   Emily has a strong passion and dedication for working with individuals struggling with severe OCD/anxiety and co-morbidities in a residential/intensive setting, which she finds to be the most effective way to shorten suffering and launch the recovery process. Emily received her Bachelor’s of Psychology from Loyola University New Orleans and her Master’s of Social Work from University of Texas- Austin. Emily completed her clinical training at Baylor College of Medicine where she served marginalized communities with complex mood, anxiety, and personality disorders. 

Emily has a strong passion and dedication for working with individuals struggling with severe OCD/anxiety and co-morbidities in a residential/intensive setting, which she finds to be the most effective way to shorten suffering and launch the recovery process. Emily’s goal is to be a trusted support and guide to her clients as they steadily regain full  lives and step into their power and resilience, breaking free from anxiety’s control. Emily finds her work energizing and humbling as she witnesses awe-inspiring courage and determination from her clients.  Additionally, Emily’s training background equips her to successfully support individuals who have co-occurring trauma and anxiety/OCD presentations, allowing for the most efficient symptom relief to occur with concurrent treatments.
