Position Type: Social Work
Advanced Post-Graduate Clinical Fellowship in Social Work
At OCDI Texas we are dedicated to offering a compassionate therapeutic environment while implementing evidence-based mental health care to provide the most effective treatment outcomes. We specialize in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), particularly exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy, in addition to other treatment modalities for individuals struggling with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. Our treatment program is ideal for individuals with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive spectrum disorders, phobias, and depression. OCDI Texas is one of only a few programs in the country that offers multiple levels of care including a partial hospitalization and residential program for adults, intensive outpatient care, and outpatient services customized for individuals across the life span. We also work to advance treatment and outcome research in the field of OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. Our findings demonstrate that our patients, in general, benefit greatly from receiving treatment in our programs with care that is designed to fit their individual needs.
Social work fellows will join our multi-disciplinary team where they will serve as an integral clinical team member. The fellowship is a full time, salaried position. Fellows are expected to conduct group therapy, individual outpatient therapy, maintain an independent caseload and serve as the family therapist for patients in our intensive programming. A large emphasis of this program is focused on training which includes but is not limited to observation, supervision, didactics, trainings, team meetings and more. The fellowship is ideal for candidates seeking a rigorous, high quality training experience that will be challenging and support their growth as a new clinician. Clinical opportunities include working within a residential setting to provide family and group therapy to those experiencing significant OCD and anxiety, as well as maintaining an individual outpatient caseload.
